The Sixth EAGE Shale Workshop will be held in the picturesque and historic city of Bordeaux from 29 April to 2 May 2019. The event is very much a multi-disciplinary and multi-industry affair, attracting representatives from academia, research institutes and the nuclear, petroleum and water industries. 

The workshop will aim for around 80 to 100 delegates, with presentations, posters and discussion sessions, as well as social and networking opportunities. We are organising a field trip day to the Geology of the Quarternary fluvial terraces of the Garonne river and the Gironde Estuary, and the relationship of the Medoc, Margaux and Saint-Estèphe AOC (Appellation of Controlled Origin) vineyards on 2 May 2019.
