AI and machine learning are developing at an incredible pace in the recent years. With this come new algorithms, workflows, paradigm shifts, challenges and best practices.

To help you stay on top of it all, we created this dedicated page to connect you with the many multidisciplinary initiatives channelled by the Association.

You are just one click away from all the opportunities that you can engage with!

Calling all digital transformation trailblazers

We find ourselves amid an industry transformation where technology emerges as a valuable ally in navigating emerging crises. In geoscience projects, adopting new tools and workflows and fostering collaboration with new tech industries is imperative to meet global energy demands and propel the energy transition forward. These will be the topics of discussion at our upcoming EAGEDigital2024 set to take place in Paris next March.

Throughout the year, EAGE organizes multiple workshops and conferences for members to engage in, both online as well as in person, to share and discuss the latest developments in the digital world.

EAGE members presenting a paper can apply for support at selected event and always benefit from special registration rates. Learn about all the benefits and secure your membership to get the best deals.

Would like to attend but you are currently between jobs? Through the Hardship Economic Programme, the Association also assists long term members who are unemployed to benefit from EAGE events and education opportunities.

Our Road So Far

Communities are at the heart of the association: they help build new connections, provide valuable input on future developments and support members’ professional growth – from students to senior professionals. Make sure to connect with technical communities and Local Chapters in your area.

The EAGE A.I. community is the network of members interested in sharing knowledge and developing skills on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning for geosciences. Join to continue the conversation, participate in discussions and find opportunities to help you advance in your career.

Siddharth Misra

Prof Dr Siddharth Misra’s research focuses on improving subsurface characterization and prospect evaluation for the exploration of hydrocarbons, minerals and water resources.

His major contribution is in the theory of electromagnetic responses of geological formations to various charge polarization phenomena. The theory has enabled him to introduce a multi-frequency electromagnetic log-inversion technique to remove dielectric effects for improved estimation of hydrocarbon pore volume.
