The Critical Minerals Technical Community (CMTC) is a network of dedicated EAGE members, aiming to bring together professionals, researchers, academics and students with a professional focus on the topic. Participation is open to all.
CMTC is an interdisciplinary group focused on providing members with insights and perspectives on the critical minerals sector, key to the global energy transition and diversification. Recognizing the dynamic nature of ‘criticality’ in minerals, the community is committed to maintaining an up-to-date understanding of this evolving landscape by continuously reviewing and discussing mineral resource classifications, exploration and extraction technologies, and global supply chain dynamics.
Originally established as the EAGE Mineral Exploration Geophysics community, this group expanded in April 2024 by synergizing with members from the EAGE Decarbonization & Energy Transition community.
You are welcome to join to be part of an active collaborative network that shares relevant news, updates, career development initiatives, opportunities to cooperate on projects and discussions on the latest scientific developments.
