The EAGE Basin & Petroleum Systems Analysis community is the network of members interested in sharing knowledge and developing skills among geoscientists and engineers working on Basin and Petroleum Systems analysis, strategies and technologies. This group deals with challenges in basin modelling, pore pressure, seals as well as their interdisciplinary connections, especially with geology and geochemistry.
This Community is open to members in all stages of their career.

1. Participation at the 86th EAGE Annual Conference (2-5 June 2025, Toulouse, France) with the Dedicated Sessions:
Petroleum data acquisition and Energy Transition in France Part I – Part II (3 June at 9:00 – 18:00 CEST).
Modeling Subsurface Systems: Mineral, Geothermal and Hydrogen (3 June at 16:40 – 18:00 CEST).
The role of basin modeling in opening new plays (4 June at 14:20 – 15:40 CEST).
2. Contributions to EAGE events, such as the Second AAPG/EAGE Workshop on Petroleum Systems of the Middle East (28-30 October 2025, Kuwait City, Kuwait).

Subsurface Systems Modeling Webinar series
Subsurface Systems Modeling is an educational webinar series created for discussing and exchanging insights on petroleum systems and new energies.
It is expected to cover applications and technology, O&G and non-O&G; all large-scale, system-oriented modeling efforts, and next generation explorers and tools.
Why was this series created?
- To exchange best practices and technologies.
- To discuss what the future workforce needs to know.
- As an opportunity to exchange knowledge and innovation in our discipline.
- To extend the impact of conversations started at in-person events.
