EAGE Annual - Madrid 2022

Catch up with the activities and takeaways from the event

It was an amazing week in beautiful, sunny Madrid for the 83rd EAGE Annual Conference and Exhibition. The convergence of science, technology, policy and ambition was the focus of many discussions throughout the programme of the EAGE Annual 2022 demonstrating how geoscientists and engineers contribute to solving the world’s greatest resource challenges.

We were joined by 4900 professionals & students and 150 exhibitors from around the world, inspired by 16 executive-level speakers and 830 presenters who discussed the main issues, challenges and opportunities facing the geoscience and engineering community in this time of great uncertainty and rapidly changing energy landscape.

We are pleased to share with you the full report detailing event highlights and relevant statistics, and what industry leaders had to say about their biggest takeaways from the event.

Siddharth Misra

Prof Dr Siddharth Misra’s research focuses on improving subsurface characterization and prospect evaluation for the exploration of hydrocarbons, minerals and water resources.

His major contribution is in the theory of electromagnetic responses of geological formations to various charge polarization phenomena. The theory has enabled him to introduce a multi-frequency electromagnetic log-inversion technique to remove dielectric effects for improved estimation of hydrocarbon pore volume.
