The EAGE Women in Geoscience and Engineering (WGE) community is striving for a gender equal world. One of our goals is to discuss about the challenges of women’s retention in the industry and academia, and how we can, together, overcome this challenge.
For example, did you know that gender equality has strong, positive impacts on Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita which grow over time (1)? By 2050, improving gender equality would lead to an increase in EU (GDP) per capita by 6.1 to 9.6%, which amounts to €1.95 to €3.15 trillion (2).
