From 1 October, it is possible to renew your EAGE membership for 2021. This past year has been a tough one for many within our membership community – a pandemic restricting opportunities to travel, followed by a global economic downturn which hit the energy sector particularly hard. During these challenges your membership in EAGE can provide valuable continuity and connection to industry, research and academia.. We are sharing five reasons why renewal of your EAGE membership for 2021 can prove beneficial.
- Discounted rates on events – both in person and online
Even with the current situation still unclear, you can expect a wide range of EAGE conferences & workshops in 2021. Some examples include our upcoming NSG2021 conference & exhibition in Bordeaux, dedicated workshops on energy transition and digitalization and novel meeting formats like GeoTech. Depending on your membership level and type you will benefit from higher discounts, with always Early Bird registration fees available for our platinum members and special reduced fees for student members. - Enhanced (online) education opportunities
2020 has seen a significant growth in EAGE’s online educational offering. Make sure to renew your membership to gain access to the renewed Learning Geoscience – the interactive members only learning environment of EAGE. - Uninterrupted access to EAGE resources
Knowledge is power! At EAGE we are expanding our EarthDoc database even further. For all proceedings and journal updates, your membership grants you EarthDoc access to stay informed of the latest developments in industry and academia. - Use your membership to stay connected
In these difficult times, your EAGE membership can help to stay connected and actively involved in the community. Members have access to the EAGE hardship programme, providing members with possible fee waivers and contributions towards our educational products. In addition, you will be able to connect with other members using the dedicated members search tool, part of the My EAGE online environment. - Expand your benefits through the EAGE Recognition Programme
Membership renewal may also take you to that next level of the EAGE Recognition Programme, allowing you greater benefits and increased value from your EAGE membership.
What’s different this year?
Following the implementation of our recognition programme, we extended access to EarthDoc (both conference and workshop proceedings as well as journal archives) to student members. This means students will have full access to the backlog of abstracts and articles available in EarthDoc.
Secondly, during this round of membership renewal it will also be possible to still get a 2020 membership. After all, we can imagine membership administration may not have been on the top of your mind in this tumultuous year. Renewing for both 2020 and 2021 will allow you to add both years to your level in the EAGE recognition level programme and thus help you to get more value and benefits out of your EAGE membership.
Donate to EAGE Funds
During your membership renewal it will be possible to make an additional donation to the EAGE Funds: the EAGE Student Fund and the Green Fund. These donations will help us to keep our activities for students running, as many of these are only possible with the donations from our membership and corporate community. To learn more about the EAGE Fund, make sure to visit the EAGE Student Fund website and the dedicated webpage on the Green Fund.
Many thanks for your support in advance!
