About EAGE (European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers)
EAGE’s main activities consist of the organisation of conferences, workshops, exhibitions and courses worldwide.
We also publish the monthly magazine First Break for our members as well as scientific journals. We are an international organization with 19,000 members all over the world. The majority of our members work in the Energy and Mineral industry. EAGE’s main goal is to share knowledge, promote innovation and technical progress, and to foster the communication, fellowship and cooperation between those working in, studying or otherwise being interested in these fields.
We have over 90 employees worldwide, with offices in The Netherlands (Europe office), Dubai, Kuala Lumpur and Bogota.
For our Head Office in Bunnik (Utrecht, The Netherlands) we are currently looking for a
Visual Designer (Fulltime)
Your tasks & responsibilities
Together with a team of 6 you will be providing the promotion and branding for events, both inside and outside of Europe. On top of that you will be promoting the EAGE brand to new and existing members. In order to do this you will be working closely with event managers and other departments within the organization. You will act as the right hand of our art-director and will work closely with other designers, desktop publishers, video editors and web designers. Together with the team you turn new concepts and creative strategies into full fledged campaigns and design systems.
What qualifications do you need?
Visual storytelling comes naturally to you and you have a strong understanding of the anatomy of a brand and the campaigns that should go along with it. You are capable of transforming concepts and ideas into strong visuals and implementing these into multi-media campaigns.
- A minimum of 3 years relevant working experience;
- You are proactive;
- You are both creative and organized;
- You have a deep understanding of branding, brand strategy and the systems that are used to devise these;
- You have experience with UX design (design for screens);
- You have a knack for visual storytelling;
- You are a team player and can collaborate well with colleagues from all sorts of disciplines;
- You have a strong understanding of typography;
- You can handle a high-paced environment and help your colleagues survive crunch time together;
- You are (almost) never grumpy and bring positive energy to the team (you definitely need a sense of humor to fit in);
- Ability to cope with pressure and tight deadlines;
In addition relevant software skills are required as well.
- InDesign;
- Illustrator;
- Photoshop;
- Adobe XD;
- Knowledge of WordPress (Elementor), After Effects and Premiere is a huge benefit;
