At EAGE, we understand the dynamic landscape of the energy industry and the importance of staying ahead in your professional development. For that reason, we continuously renew our education portfolio, with a strong focus on retraining and transferability of existing skills.

To empower our members in navigating the growing demands of the sector we have created an interactive tool designed to assist you in identifying skills for success in your personal energy transition journey.

Based on skills mapping by the EAGE DET Communities and the Education Committee, as well as an ongoing members’ survey. The top 10 skills for the current and future roles are shown.

The tool provides you an easy way to evaluate the skills required for your future roles in the energy transition field. It helps you to compare current and future role skill profiles, offering valuable insights into your professional development. You can choose from a dropdown list an existing and a future role and see which technical skills are required and the relationships between these roles and necessary skills, together with some recommendations on which courses to take to acquire these skills.

Siddharth Misra

Prof Dr Siddharth Misra’s research focuses on improving subsurface characterization and prospect evaluation for the exploration of hydrocarbons, minerals and water resources.

His major contribution is in the theory of electromagnetic responses of geological formations to various charge polarization phenomena. The theory has enabled him to introduce a multi-frequency electromagnetic log-inversion technique to remove dielectric effects for improved estimation of hydrocarbon pore volume.
